The quality and tradition of our dishes

The large but cozy Restaurant furnished with typical Tuscan colors such as terracotta and wood, is composed of three inner rooms seating from 80 to 200 people, and from a splendid outdoor terrace that overlooks the park, along the river. Here, in the warm summer period, several little tables placed around a fantastic central olive grove collect approximately 80 people, but without giving up the intimacy of a candlelight dinner for two.

Our cuisine is famous and quite popular, especially the highest quality meats cooked on a large wood-burning grill. All the dishes come from the Tuscan tradition with fish and game specialties. Among the exquisite offerings, you will find dishes prepared with wild boar, crostoni (large toasted bread slices), Volterra-style soup, and Livorno’s fish stew (by advance order), in addition to our famous sliced meats and Florentine beefsteak.

We’ve a wood-burning oven where they churn out pizzas on friday, saturday and sunday eavening!

Our well-supplied cellar offers a rich wine list and homemade sweets prepared by the skilled hands of our chefs will delight you and will conclude a memorable experience. The family hospitality that we reserve for the guests is the finishing touch on our dishes.

Le giuste attività per scoprire l’inverno nostrano

Winter can be rather cold and chilly in Volterra especially when the strong northerly winds bluster through and yet when the sun shines it can be really rather pleasant.

It rarely snows but when it does it creates an astoundingly magical aura both in town and the surrounding countryside enhanced by a veil of white.

Winter is an explicit invitation to experience Tuscany in a completely different light, a favourable time to enjoy seasonal culinary delights, to take pleasure in and pay homage to the subdued wintry landscape.

It is during the quiet cold season with fewer visitors that Volterra reveals its true identity and authentic integrity and provides an opening to venture into the everyday life of the local inhabitants as you have a drink in the bars and take part in local events.
